Service Description

In this 8 week online MBSR or MBCT group, we’ll meet weekly for 2 hours from the comfort of your home or office, while working to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. Participants will be guided into mindful awareness to help “re-frame” reactions and provided with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. I’m confident you’ll find this group experience beneficial and inspirational. We will use tools such as mindful meditation, mindful movement, and group inquiry to increase our understanding of ourselves. Learn to manage anxiety and prevent the relapse of depression in the evidence-based Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) group, as you are introduced to tools, skills, and strategies for preventing depressive relapse, as well as reducing anxiety, stress and acute depression. Alternatively, individuals experiencing stress resulting from chronic physical and psychological conditions may prefer to enroll in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) group, where they can learn practical ways to manage stress and help develop their capacity for greater calm. Please note that the MBSR group includes a mindful movement exercise component with options for modification of poses and moves if needed for individual safety, comfort, and needs.
